Bingos in Extremadura raise their income

Nowadays, there are two bingo rooms in the city, another two in Cácares, Don Benito and Mérida, while Aceuchal, Villafrance, Azuaga, Villanueva and Navalmoral have only one bingo room.

The bingo rooms of the region were the ones that experimented a bigger increase of income with a 7.9% more than the year before, only a little bit under Murcial with almost 10% more than 2004. After Extremadura follows Canarias with 6.9% and Asturias with a 6.7% more.

In Spain last year there were a total of 447 bingo rooms, 16 less than in 2004, which gave jobs to twenty thousands people in the country and the income of the ticket sales raised to over 3,833 million euros. Of these, eight were located in Extremadura, accounting for 1.79% of the national total and with a media income of almost a million euros.

About the money spent, people from Extremadura played last year over 68 million, five million more than in 2004. This means an increase of 7.92% after the decrease of the previous years.

This information concludes that in 2005, each person in Extremadura spent, on average, 164 euros.
