Bingo Caballito will allow to smoke

For the first time since the ban to smoke in public places was approved, the Justice gave a Legal protection that will allow to smoke in the Bingo Caballito, even though the owners of other four similar rooms in the city announced that they will also ask to be exempted from the restrictions.

The measure was ordered by judge Juan Vicente Cataldo, from the Contentious Administrative Court 1, and orders the government to refrain “from doing inspections in the Bingo Caballito” until is informed if the norm was regulated.

Since the smoking ban came into force in Scotland, bingo parlors have been suffering the consequences and more than five bingo clubs have been forced to close due to the dramatic fall in revenues. Most of the remaining ones are struggling to survive in the hope that a solution might be found.

Sir Peter Fry, Chairman of the Bingo Association, believes it is unfair for bingo operators to pay the same VAT as bookmakers and lottery ticket vendors. For that reason, Sir Fry wants a rebate to come from said tax.

The woman scooped the bingo jackpot ten years after her mom won £37,000 at the same club.

Yvonne Farquhar, 44, completed his bingo card in only 44 numbers and won the National Bingo Game at the Empire Club, Tuesday, August 15. She had to share the prize with an Inverness woman who also called “Bingo”.

The woman, a mother of four, said: “We are a very lucky family!”

Bingos in Extremadura raise their income

Georgia woman wins $500,000 at bingo

Yosun Kim Banks, a Georgia homemaker, won the first Quincy’s Triple Seven’s top jackpot for traditional bingo while playing Super Jackpot Coverall Bingo. Ms. Banks received the $500,000-prize at the casino, which is part of Victoryland Greyhound Park.

“Ms. Banks won the next to last bingo number was called”, Susan Collier, a spokeswoman for Victoryland said. “You have 46 chances to cover and get bingo. She got it on the 45th ball that dropped.”

Could online gamblers go to jail?

Despite the recent high-profile indictments of the founder and CEO of Internet gambling company BetOnSports, it does not appear that online gamblers in most U.S. states have any reason to fear prosecution - at least not by the federal government, according to an article published by Yahoo.

The exception, says the article, is Washington State, where gamblers could be charged with a felony under recently passed legislation.

Single ticket wins $23 million Mega Millions jackpot

Only one player hit the $23 million Mega Millions jackpot. According to Lottery officials, the ticket was purchased in Genoa, Ohio. The winning numbers were: 2, 14, 20, 29 and 44. The Mega Ball number was 32.

In addition, two players will receive $250,000 each since they matched all five numbers but not the Mega Ball number.

Extremadura Casino Bingo received 300,000 visitors

More than 300,000 people visited the bingo hall in Extremadura Casino in Badajoz during its first year of functioning, according to the bingo hall operators. They also added that more than 130,000 people also enjoyed their gambling premises in the casino.

Besides, along its first year open, the five-star hotel has kept an average of 50% occupancy. Some weekends there were no rooms available.

Woman wins £100,000 bingo jackpot

A 60-year-old woman from Moray Park, Edinburgh, hit the £100,000 national bingo jackpot at the Gala Club in Meadowbank Retail Park.

The lucky lady is a retired printer who has played bingo three times a week for 30 years.

“I couldn’t stop crying when they told me.

I am just over the moon”, she said.
